Newton's Noodle makes science fun for elementary schools in Illinois. Based on the laws and discoveries of Sir Isaac Newton, each demonstration starts out with a small example object that the kids can either make themselves or buy inexpensively. These small devices are used to explain Newton's laws of motion, gravity, thrust and equal and opposite reactions. Each small example is then followed by a much larger version where members of the audience are brought up to show how applications of these scientific principles apply to them. Kids get to ride on a hovercraft, feel the power of a gyroscope, pull a tablecloth out from under a table full of dishes and lots of other fun and visual activities designed to educate and make a lasting impression of the power of scientific discovery.
